I received news yesterday of our first sale of 2013! Just another 1.0990 million until my first free vacation. Arizona, here I come!!

this morning,courtesy of a facebook post from an acquaintance, i was reminded that what i used to do for a living...and for my life...meant something to someone other than myself.

  • Greg Peddie I will say Shelley Morgan that I really really miss the days of you on the radio. Its a memory that feels like home to me. WAOR was not ever the big bad ass radio station but it did have personality for many many years for me. Im enjoying my Steely Dan morning. But Id rather have you spinning the AJA record for me on the radio and adding some "life" to the experience......... I hate getting old..:)
  • Greg Peddie I actually enjoy the commercials on SPOTIFY because they add a sense of life to the listening experience. Maybe Im just a dork...
  • Shelley Morgan you, Greg, have just made my heart happy. words cannot express my love for that station and that radio experience for me. every day, we tried to make good radio, but more than that, we tried to connect with the listeners and to the music. for me, it was all about the fun and the music and the listeners. it was a special place. thanks for telling me you loved the place and the daily experience as much as i did!!

  it made me cry.  i miss those connections more than i can say.  i think i should buy a microphone and upgrade my laptop and just play.  would be kinda cool to make Greg a custom "shelley morgan-ized" version of "Aja" by Steely Dan, just to say thanks for making my day.  maybe showing me the way to what my heart truly desires.  who knows?

the end of a year and beginning of the next

it was the third New Year's Eve in a row spent with Lisa and Jerry.  best of friends, great food, great drink, great conversation.  gawd, i love Jerry, such a sweet man and a good soul.  i am happy Lisa has him in her life. they balance each other.

i look around my home this January 1st, 2013 and am grateful for the dwelling and its contents.  sentimental attachments to some, comfort with others.  i appreciate and love the place i am on this day and look forward to growing and developing and receiving and allowing all thru this year.
