7.26 inches of rain in two days. 6.34 inches of it yesterday. not much of a surprise to those who were watching the ND/Michigan game across the nation thanks to NBC.
and more rain, courtesy of Hurricane Ike, is on its way this afternoon.
granted, our homes haven't been ripped apart by hurricane force winds, but the flooding here is widespread. the water level of the creek across the street is higher than i have seen it in a long while.
and yet, we are warm and dry, safe and secure, well-fed, too.
i am filled with appreciation.
