the birthday week last week was filled with friends and fun and food!!
Monday: Chris and Tressa and i checked out the new Granite City Food and Brewery. yummy yum yum!! really good wine, perfectly cooked steak, strawberry cheesecake! as mentioned in the name of the place, they are also a brewery. Tressa had one of their brews which she said she liked. i wish they had something gluten-free in the brewery department...
Tuesday: Mom and Dad and i did the traditional birthday dinner. this year we checked out the Chubby Trout. yes, i said it, the Chubby Trout! sauteed blue gill and martinis. it was our first time at the Trout. i daresay i will return for more blue gill and MORE MARTINIS!!!
Thursday: Lori and Lynnaie took me to Bar Louie for drinks after work...which turned into MORE MARTINIS!! a bit of spinach-artichoke-crab dip to put down a base and the dirty martinis were rollin!
i love we didn't once go to a place i had been before. i love trying new places and foods. it was such a FUN week! i appreciate the time spent together with friends!!
